A place to practice your faith

The purpose of an Interfaith room is to provide a place on campus for individuals to express their personal spiritual needs.

These private rooms offer CCBC students, faculty and staff of all religious traditions to pray, meditate, worship, reflect, study and practice their faith. Interfaith room hours will follow the same hours of operation as the buildings in which they are located.

Guidelines for using the Interfaith rooms:

  • Use of the rooms are for Community College of Baltimore County students, faculty and staff only.
  • Access is granted on a first-come, first-served, as-available basis.
  • Room reservations are not permitted.
  • Food and beverages will not be permitted in the room.
  • The use of flammable items such as lit candles, burning oils or incense is prohibited.
  • Cell phones must be silenced and used on an emergency-only basis.
  • Bare feet are not permitted; you must wear socks or stockings if removing your shoes.
  • Silence and mutual respect of others and the room is expected by all users.
  • All personal items must be removed from the room after each use.

Individuals not adhering to these guidelines may be restricted from using this room. Failure to comply with the guidelines or repeated misuse of the room may result in disciplinary action.
