Keep learning at CCBCAt CCBC, we know your time is valuable and so are your classes. Because the Coronavirus has forced us to change the way we deliver courses, we want to make sure you understand what is expected of you and how to access the resources you'll need to keep learning. CCBC will continue to provide quality instruction to its students regardless of the delivery method.
Check CCBC website and email
Communicate with your faculty members using the email on the syllabus and check both your personal and CCBC emails regularly. Login to Blackboard often and check all of your courses.
Review course adjustments
While it is not supported by CCBC for full use in your courses, you can download the Blackboard app and use it for the basics, such as checking your grade, checking announcements, etc.
Assess technology needs
We understand that transitioning to online learning may be challenging for some, particularly students that have not previously taken online classes. The first step is to ensure that you have the technology you need to take advantage of online learning opportunities.
Students with technology access issues at home should start planning early. See the Technology Resources section below for options that might help.

- Staff will assist students with finding an available workstation.
- Earbuds will be available for students to use during live participation in classes and with other college interactions. Students are encouraged to keep the earbuds for future use. Students may bring their own USB headsets.
- While on-site staff are unable to provide assistance with coursework or technology issues, they can help students contact the CCBC Help Desk at 443.840.4357 (HELP) as needed.

Get high-speed internet for $5 per month. Spectrum Internet Assist is available exclusively to qualified households.

Brightspace is designed for desktop or laptop computer-based Windows and Macintosh operating systems. Students are encouraged not to use Chrome OS (the operating system for Chromebooks), which is not compatible with some Brightspace functionality. Likewise, mobile devices can supplement your online learning experience, but because all Brightspace functionality is not available on mobile devices, you cannot rely solely on them to successfully complete courses.
