Physician Assistant Interview Only

Please follow these steps to complete the supplemental application materials. When you have finished steps 1-3, complete step 4 and submit the intent form to Sally Sawyers, the PA program assistant at CCBC Essex.

Step 1

Apply to The Community College of Baltimore County online as a new student. The CCBC College application has no fee.

If you have previously been admitted to CCBC and have taken a course here in the last 2 years, you may skip this step and proceed to Step 2.

If you have previously been admitted to CCBC but have not been enrolled here in the last 2 years, then you must apply as a returning student.

Step 2

Apply to the PA Program using the CCBC School of Health Professions Physician Assistant Application. To do this, you must have already completed Step 1 AND have your CCBC student ID number (900-**-****).

Go to your SIMON account and login.

From there select the Student Services tab, and then Admissions. Follow the directions on the page and choose the SHP Physician Assistant application. This application is complete only after you have paid the $50 application fee that is required. Payment is made online using a credit card or electronic check.

Step 3

Apply to the Towson University Graduate School online.  The Towson University Physician Assistant application opens on July 1. 

If you are receiving this letter prior to July 1, please be aware that Towson will make the Graduate application available on July 1.

If you are receiving this letter after July 1, the TU application is open. Please complete the TU application immediately.

The application is not complete until the $45 fee has been paid. You do not need to send transcripts to TU. Towson University will pull transcripts/international evaluations from your CASPA application automatically. The admission process will not be affected, if your Towson status checker, accessible several days after submitting the supplemental Towson Application, does not update immediately.

Step 4

Complete and submit the Program Intention form after you have completed steps 1 through 3. If you submit the completed intention form and you do not receive a phone call from the program assistant within 2 weeks, please contact Sally Sawyers at to confirm that your completed form has been received.

Step 5

You must bring a passport size photograph with you to the interview. The photograph will not be returned to you.

Additional Information: If you are admitted to the Physician Assistant program, be aware that you will need to submit a deposit to accept your seat. The deposit of $900.00 will be payable to Towson University. There will be additional deposit payable to CCBC of $1850. Do not bring payment to the interview. Do not submit or bring payment until you are officially notified of program acceptance.
