2016 Gala: Project Workforce

You would not normally see an auto mechanic, a dental hygienist and a plumber sporting their work attire at a formal occasion, but that is exactly what happened at CCBC’s 2016 Project Workforce: Work for Success gala. This year’s event focused on workplace success, highlighting students and alumni from a variety of the college’s degree and certificate programs.

Gala attendees enjoyed cocktails, dinner, dancing, casino-style games, and a runway show featuring “dressed for workplace success” models while raising more than $270,000 to support CCBC scholarships and programs.

“Ninety-six percent of CCBC graduates remain to live and work right here in their communities when they leave us,” said CCBC President Sandra Kurtinitis. “CCBC directs its programming to meet regional workforce needs. From health care to cybersecurity to the construction trades, CCBC helps students build careers and improve their lives.”
