CCBC Dundalk Bookstore Partners with Ten Thousand® Villages to sell fair trade merchandise

Dundalk, MD – Community College of Baltimore County Bookstore at CCBC Dundalk is partnering with the independent nonprofit, charitable organization (501(c)3) Ten Thousand Villages® to sell unique handmade gifts, jewelry, home décor, purses and scarves at its 7200 Sollers Point Road location. Prices will range from $5-50. Ten Thousand Villages® merchandise represents the diverse cultures of artisans from 38 countries including Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Product sales help pay for food, education, healthcare and housing for artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed.
According to Brandy Henry, director of Bookstores at CCBC, “This is new and unique venture for us and based on its success on the Dundalk campus, we hope to offer it at all CCBC Bookstores in the future. Regardless, we are delighted to be able to offer our Dundalk customers wonderful fair trade products from around the world.”
All CCBC bookstores are open from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Friday.
