Baltimore County, MD – The Community College of Baltimore County is hosting information sessions from 5 until 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 at CCBC Catonsville and Aug. 8 at CCBC Essex to discuss the Associate to Bachelor’s in Nursing degree option. CCBC Nursing students accepted into the ATB track can enroll and begin bachelor’s coursework at one of the partner institutions –Frostburg State University, Notre Dame of Maryland University, Stevenson University or Towson University while working on their associate degree at CCBC. CCBC classes for this program can be taken on the Catonsville and Essex campuses.
To be eligible, students must first be accepted into CCBC’s Nursing program, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and successfully complete a specified list of required courses. Students can complete the ATB Nursing option in 9 – 10 terms, including winter and summer, with the typical student having to complete only two to three terms after earning their associate degree. Depending on the institution, classes are taught online, face-to-face or in a blend of both. Some of the partnering institutions are offering discounts to ATB enrolled students.
