Richard Manski, D.D.S., Ph.D.Professor and chairman of Dental Public Health at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry, Dr. Manski earned his D.D.S. at Howard University, his M.B.A. at the University of Massachusetts, and his Ph.D. at the University of Maryland.
He manages and provides oversight for a team of faculty, staff, educators and researchers in areas including public health, research methods, practice management, and the school's externship program. He is also responsible for the management at the Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry.
Dr. Manski is responsible for a multi-institutional, multidisciplinary and international team of researchers studying the effects of dental utilization patterns associated with changes in dental insurance coverage and changes in retirement status among older Americans.
The Reisterstown, Md. resident currently serves as a senior scholar at the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality with the U.S. department of Health and Human Services.
