Homeretta Ayala is the Director of the CCBC Community Chorus. She is also Director of Music Ministries at Mt. Vernon Place United Methodist Church. She holds a Bachelor in Music Education from Florida State University, a Master’s in Music Education from Towson State University, a Master’s in Library Media from McDaniel College (Western Maryland College), a Master’s Certificate in ESOL, and a Master’s Certificate in Educational Administration.

She has been actively involved in a myriad of musical activities, from church music as organist and choir director, K- college choral director, musical theater director, and BCPS music department chair. Her choirs have performed in the Macy’s Day Parade, America Sings in Washington D.C., and throughout England. She has presented concerts in Europe, the Virgin Islands, Florida, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. She is a published composer, and she is also a member of CCBC’s ESOL faculty.
