Patti Crossman has been a community college music educator since 1981. She has been a member of the music faculty of The Community College of Baltimore County since 1982, having held the positions of Concert Manager and Music Program Coordinator. Since 2013 she has been Chair of the Department of Performing Arts and Humanities. In addition to her administrative duties, she teaches Applied Piano.

Patti has been an evaluating visitor for the National Association of Schools of Music since 2012, and she also served as secretary for NASM Region 6 from 2008 – 2011, and as chair from 2014-2015. Currently she is a member of the Community College Commission on Accreditation. Locally she has served as president of the Maryland Area College Music Association (2011 – 2015) and as the membership chair of the Greater Baltimore chapter of the Maryland State Music Teachers Association (2009 – present).

Patti holds degrees in music education and piano performance from The Ohio State University. She has been a participant in the Van Cliburn Festival Teacher’s week as well as an auditioned participant in the International Keyboard Festival at Mannes College. She continues her piano study with Dr. Nelson Harper of Denison University.
