Peter Carver is an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies, Theatre, and Mass Communication. He founded and led the AFA Drama Program at A-B Tech in Asheville, NC, and taught as an adjunct faculty member at UNC Asheville for over a decade. Some of his favorite directing credits over the years include Boston Marriage, Hamlet, Miss Julie, Twelfth Night, This Is Our Youth, Noises Off and Equus. Pete has a BA in Communication Studies and Theatre Arts from Stetson University, an MA from Texas Woman’s University, and an MFA in Directing from the University of New Orleans. He has worked with such companies as NC Stage, Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre, Diana Wortham Theatre, Asheville Community Theatre, Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre, Red Noses Productions, Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival and South Carolina Children’s Theatre. Peter teaches Introduction to Theatre, Acting for Television & Film, and Screenwriting.
