In good company!

World-renowned alumni set the stage for success of CCBC Performing Arts majors

As a Theatre, Music or Dance major at CCBC, you’ll share a stage once occupied by Andy Karl, 2014 Tony Award nominee for the lead role in Rocky on Broadway, Mike Rowe, Emmy-nominated Discovery Channel executive producer, Obie winner David Drake, and internationally renowned choreographer Peter Pucci. They were all students in CCBC’s performing arts programs – and that’s just to name a few!

Our well-rounded degree programs prepare students to transfer to such colleges and universities as Towson University, UMCP, the Peabody Conservatory, Shenandoah Conservatory, Shepherd College, the North Carolina School for the Arts. CCBC is one of only a select few community colleges in the nation to have associate degree programs accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and the National Association of Schools of Theatre.

CCBC is also the only community college in Maryland to offer the A.F.A. degree in Dance, Theatre and Music. CCBC students enjoy small classes in high-end performance facilities, with faculty who are practicing artists. They have the opportunity to express their creativity and gain technical and performance experience in a variety of venues. Many secure scholarships based on financial need, academic excellence or talent while attending CCBC and when they transfer.
