Nursing Blended Program

The Associate Degree Nursing Program at CCBC is accredited by the Maryland Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission on Education in Nursing (ACEN). This program, through the use of theory, campus labs, and clinical study prepares students to become eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurse (NCLEX –RN) in order to become nurse generalists and work as members of the healthcare team.

Learning Options and Benefits

The CCBC nursing program offers a blended learning option for the Associate’s-to-Bachelor’s (ATB) program. Blended learning includes onsite practicum labs and online instruction. This ATB program is a selective dual enrollment program which provides nursing students the chance to begin course work for their bachelor of science degree at one of four participating universities while enrolled in CCBC’s associate of science degree program. Completion of the bachelor of science degree can usually be obtained in two to three additional terms after completing the associate of science degree. Blended students, once accepted to CCBC’s nursing program, are welcome to apply to the ATB program as well.

Academic Advisement is available to meet with students interested in the nursing program. In addition, nursing students may apply for financial aid and available scholarships if they meet the criteria for eligibility.
