A+ Certification PC Technician Module 1
Gain an introduction to the expansive microcomputer field and a basic technical understanding of the function and operation of the major elements of personal computer systems. This course focuses on microcomputer operating systems and diagnostic tools that allow the student to rapidly determine the condition of a PC system and how best to rectify a fault.

A+ Certification PC Technician Module 2
Explore the interrelationships between hardware and software at the system level. System components, such as video adapters, mass storage interfaces, and input/output ports, will be introduced. Diagnostic software will be used to identify and isolate faulty devices and sub-systems. Second of a two course series designed to help prepare students for the CompTIA A+ certification exams.

CompTIA Network+ Certification Series

Consists of 2 classes: Networking and Data Communications and Network+ Technician Certification.
Prerequisite: A+ Certification or equivalent knowledge

Networking and Data Communications (Network+ Part 1)
This course is designed for students pursuing a career in networking. The course provides an overview of computer networking including servers, switches, routers, LAN’s, WAN’s, network protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, network topologies, and wireless connections. Topics include network design, implementation, management, security configuration, and troubleshooting.

Network+ Technician Certification (Network+ Part 2)
Prepare for a career as a network technician, network administrator, or network engineer. Learn about network design, installing, security configuration, maintaining, troubleshooting and management of a computer network. This is the second class of a two course series designed to help prepare students for the CompTIA Network+ Certification exam. Prerequisite: Networking and Data Communications (Network+ Part 1).

CompTIA Security+ Certification

Introduction to Information Security

Serves the needs of students interested in understanding the field of information security and how it relates to other areas of information technology. The material covered in this class provides the broad-based knowledge and skills necessary to prepare students for further study in specialized security fields, or may be used by those interested in a general introduction in the field. This is also intended to serve the needs of those seeking to pass the CompTIA Security+ certification exam.

Prerequisite: Networking and Data Communications (Network+ Part 1).

Ethical Hacker Certification

Ethical Hacking and Systems Defense
This course combines an ethical methodology with the hands-on application of security tools to better help students secure their systems. Students are introduced to common countermeasures that effectively reduce and mitigate attacks. The class is designed to help students prepare for the professional career in the information and communication technology (ICT) field and the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification exam.

Prerequisite: Networking and Data Communications (Network+ Part 1).

Linux Fundamentals (LPIC-1) Certification

This course is designed to teach students the fundamental concepts of Linux Operating Systems. Topics to be covered include the Linux file system, commands, utilities, text editing, shell programming, and text processing utilities; and command line syntax and features, filename generation, redirection, pipes, and quoting mechanisms. This courses helps prepare students for the LPIC-1, junior level certification for Linux administrators.
