Online Admissions Process for Massage Therapy

We appreciate your interest in the Massage Therapy program at the CCBC Essex Campus and want to make certain that you are successful.

The Massage Therapy program is a selective admissions program. Although the Community College of Baltimore County has an open door policy for general admission, enrollment in the School of Health Professions programs is competitive.

CCBC CAS Checklist for Massage Therapy

Step 1 - Prepare to apply

Review the Admission Packet for this program.

Ask professors, mentors or employers to be your reference. Collect their email address for submission in the CCBC CAS.

Write a personal statement.

Step 2 - Complete CCBC CAS application

If you have never before applied through the CAS system, then create an account in CCBC CAS through the applicant portal and follow the directions to complete the applications.

If you applied using the CAS System before, then login and verify that all areas are correct.

Once all sections of the application have a green check mark, you will be able to pay the $50 non‐refundable application fee. It is better to submit the application at least a month before the application deadline.

  • August 1st for Fall start
  • January 1st for Spring start

Step 3 - Official transcripts

Massage does not require official transcripts. If you have completed any courses at CCBC, then your cumulative CCBC GPA must be no less than a 2.00.

Step 4 - Evaluations

Three letters of recommendation are required to complete your application. Up to 4 can be submitted by the admission deadline.

Step 5 - Personal statement

Complete the essay found in the CCBC CAS application.

Your personal statement should explain your background and motivation for entering the Massage Therapy Program.

Step 6 - Supplemental information

After you submit your CAS application, CCBC will send an email update.

You may be requested to complete a supplemental application.
  • You will only receive this email if it applies to you.
  • There is no additional fee associated with the supplemental information application.

Step 7 - Communication

Expect communication regarding your application status via email. You may also log into your CCBC CAS account to see notifications.

Step 8 - Interview

CCBC will contact eligible applicants via email to schedule a required interview.
