Occupational Safety and Health Technology

Occupational Safety and Health Technology (OSHT) serves traditional students new to the safety field, as well as non-traditional students with safety work experience or industry experience who are seeking advancement or a new career.

The program provides students with a strong foundation in essential safety management principles and practices that prepares graduates to be effective professionals and paraprofessionals in diverse work environments. Graduates are employed in manufacturing, service, construction, research, and non-profit organizations, and federal, state, and local governments.

Graduates can pursue additional education via transfer to 4-year colleges and universities. Alumni have been successful in obtaining graduate-level degrees. Students with an AAS degree plus the requisite experience can qualify to sit for the ASP and CSP exams.
