Are you planning to earn a bachelor’s degree after you leave CCBC?If so, you’ll want to become familiar with how the transfer process works. This timeline will help you determine what steps to take while at CCBC to ensure a smooth transition to a four-year college/university.
0-12 credits
- Read the College Catalog
- Meet with an advisor to explore career and education pathways
- Select your degree program
- Read through the articulation agreements
13 - 24 credits
- Visit college websites
- Make yourself familiar with ARTSYS
- Check for new articulation agreements
- Meet every semester with an advisor for schedule planning
- Draft your resume
25 - 30 credits
- Attend college open house events
- Meet every semester with an advisor to schedule planning
- Check for new articulation agreements
- Update your resume
- Apply for financial aid
- Apply for scholarships (apply in February for May/August graduates; October for December/January graduates
- Send admission applications to transfer schools
35 - 40 Credits
- See advisor for pre-graduation audit
- Apply for graduation
- Check for new articulation agreements
- Update your resume
- Apply for financial aid (FAFSA due by February 14)
- Apply for scholarships (apply in February for May/August graduates; October for December/January graduates
- Send admission applications to transfer schools
Final Semester
- Continue applying for scholarships
- Receive acceptance and scholarship letters from transfer schools
- Make a decision on which school you are transferring to
- Visit your transfer school and receive advising
Post Graduation
- Send a final transcript to the transfer school(s)
- Receive acceptance and scholarship letter from transfer schools
- Make a decision on which school you are transferring to
- Receive transfer orientation, advising, and register for classes at your four-year transfer school.
