Dates, Times and Registration Options for Summer 2016

When to register

Summer registration opens on March 21 and continues through:

March 21 — June 5
for first five, six and ten-week session (classes start June 6)

March 21 — June 12
for seven-week session (classes start June 13)

March 21 — July 17
for second five-week session (classes start July 18)

Meet with an advisor and register early.

Please note: If you receive a financial aid award, you are required to register for all Summer 2016 courses by June 17.


How to register

Online registration is the best option for current students and is available 24/7.

  • Log in to SIMON
  • If you plan to Audit a credit class, in SIMON click "Request to Audit Courses" and follow the instructions after you complete the registration process.

Late registration for open sections

You are permitted to register late for an open class without the Dean's or Designee's permission before the second class meeting. After the class has met twice, you are required to obtain the Dean's or Designee's permission (in consultation with the instructor).

Exceptions The Dean's or Designee's permission is required after the first day of the semester or session for:
  • Courses that meet once a week only
  • Science courses with labs
  • Abbreviated sessions
Online courses
The Dean's or Designee's permission is required for ALL Web courses on the first day of the semester or session. If you miss one class meeting, the late enrollment policy is in effect.
