A.A.S. Degree

The School of Justice’s Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree is designed for students planning to transfer to four-year colleges and universities to complete advanced degrees. Degree courses focus on the Criminal Justice field while also preparing students for academic success through general education course requirements.

Transfer institutions vary widely. Students interested in pursuing Criminal Justice courses for transfer to colleges or universities should speak with their Campus Criminal Justice Studies Program Coordinator before registering for any course.

Certificate Program

The CCBC Criminal Justice Studies Certificate is designed to instruct students currently working in the field of criminal justice. However, all Certificate program courses may be applied toward an Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.) in Criminal Justice Studies.

Distance Learning

Distance learning courses are an ideal learning method for many students. They provide educational opportunities to many people who, for a variety of reasons, cannot participate in traditional courses. Course materials are available over the World Wide Web. Access to the instructor, as well as submission of assignments will be via conventional mail, e-mail, fax and telephone. CCBC offers all of our courses for the A.A.S. degree online.
