Learn the fundamentals of this emerging global sport with a Hawaiian heritage. This ancient form of surfing, and began as a way for surfing instructors to manage their large groups of students, as standing on the board gave them a higher viewpoint, increasing visibility. In addition to the super-fast learning curve and the pure fun factor, SUP'ing provides a great 'core' workout and has been gaining popularity with cross-over athletes looking for new and exciting ways to train. SUPs are appearing around the globe, anywhere where there is easy access to safe waters.
