Health Care Insurance

Health care insurance in the United States is purchased by individuals from private insurance companies, and you may find it to be expensive because it is not socialized or subsidized by the government. You are required to purchase your own health insurance to protect yourself from the high cost of medical treatment for a serious injury or illness.

You will need to provide proof that you have health insurance at the start of each fall and spring semester while you attend CCBC. Bring the name of the health insurance company, the type of coverage, and the effective coverage dates to International Student Services. The insurance policy must be translated into English if it is issued by your home country.
