CCBC Massage Therapy Program to hold Open House
April 27, 2-4 p.m., Administration Building, CCBC Essex

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (April 3, 2014) – Take improving health care into your own hands when you complete the new CCBC Massage Therapy certificate program in less than a year to become a Registered Massage Practitioner or earn an associate degree (A.A.S.) in two-years and become a Licensed Massage Therapist. Each program will prepare students to sit for the appropriate required state tests for certification or licensure.

The CCBC Massage Therapy associate degree program is a two-year program preparing health care professionals for careers in a clinical setting or private practice. It provides an holistic approach that views therapeutic massage as an important adjunct to a person’s health and well-being. CCBC students participate in clinical rotations to relieve pain and stress in cancer patients and provide massage in the Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworks clinics held each semester. Few health care fields offer the career flexibility that massage therapy affords.
