BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (Jan. 13, 2014) – The Dental Hygiene program in the School of Health Professions at the Community College of Baltimore County is again joining with the Maryland Dental Hygienists’ Association in sponsoring Sealant Saturday. This annual event is a community outreach program providing free dental examinations and clear, colorless, protective coatings on permanent molars to children ages 6 – 18. Each minor must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive this free service. This treatment is intended to help prevent tooth decay.

Sealant Saturday will be held Feb. 8, 2014 (snow date – Feb. 15) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Dental Arts Center on the Dundalk campus of the Community College of Baltimore County, 7200 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. Appointments typically last from 45 minutes to an hour for the examination and the sealant application.

This event is free but appointments are required. Call 443-840-3340 to leave a message to schedule an appointment. Callers must provide a daytime phone number where they can be reached to schedule the actual time for the appointment.
