CCBC OFFERS GOLF COURSE FOR THE NOVICE
Baltimore County, Md. -- The Community College of Baltimore
County (CCBC) through the Division of Continuing Education, has a non-credit
class especially designed for the novice golfer who wants to learn how
to play the game or at the very least, experience the fresh air and sunshine
that being on the links offers. Structured for both men and women, the
course is scheduled to begin August 20. This eight-session program will
teach the proper grip, stance and posture as well as swing plane, weight
shift, chipping, pitching and putting. Students will also learn which
club to use along with tips on how and when to use them.
Taught by former golf pro, Larry Skidmore, this class will
aid the beginning golfer in the exploration of the sport without having
to make a substantial investment in equipment. It is not necessary to
own your own set or to buy a set for the class. Both a left-handed and
a right-handed set of clubs is available for the student to use.
