Kurtinitis receives Chief Executive Leadership Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education
Mar 02, 2020CCBC President Sandra Kurtinitis has received the Chief Executive Leadership Award for District II from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
The Chief Executive Leadership Award recognizes a member institution's highest ranking officer for outstanding efforts in promoting the understanding and support of education. This includes demonstrating the ability to create vision and inspire others; establishing a positive image of the institution's stature in the community; and encouraging innovations and risk-taking among employees.
“It is a special honor to receive the Chief Executive Leadership Award from CASE,” said Dr. Kurtinitis, president of CCBC since 2005. “Within the community college sector, we are almost always challenged by fiscal constraints leaving us to seek alternative revenue sources to help fund our educational initiatives. We depend upon our talented Advancement staff to help bridge the gap between what public funding provides and what our academic environment demands. I am a big fan of advancement professionals; we couldn’t do the good work we do on behalf of students without their skill and persistence.”
