CCBC celebrates National Nurses Month

May 08, 2020

Now more than ever, CCBC knows how valuable nurses are to the health care profession and our community. We join the rest of the country in celebrating National Nurses Month in May.

During this time of crisis, many of CCBC’s School of Health Professions faculty members and graduates are working at local hospitals and the COVID-19 unit at the Baltimore Convention Center. CCBC has also donated ventilators and all of its personal protective equipment to area hospitals.

CCBC is proud of all of the health care professionals who are on the front lines of this pandemic crisis, especially our recent graduates. In the 2018-2019 academic year, CCBC graduated 211 students from the college’s Practical Nursing, LPN-to-RN Bridge, Associate-to-Bachelor’s (ATB) Nursing degree, and related programs. CCBC Nursing students have a 90 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), which is above the national average.
