Daryl J. Sidle is a founding equity owner at Baxter Baker, a law firm with offices in Baltimore, Annapolis and Bethesda, Md.

He has more than 35 years of experience representing individuals and businesses in complex tax, business and estate planning transactions. He regularly advises clients on structuring and documenting mergers and acquisitions, securities private placements, real estate joint ventures, and the internal affairs of professional practices, including those of physicians, accountants and attorneys.

As one of the principal drafters of Maryland’s limited liability company act, Sidle has extensive experience negotiating and drafting operating agreements for LLCs. He lectures regularly at continuing professional programs for lawyers and accountants on LLCs, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning and income tax topics. He has taught estate planning and estate and gift tax as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore’s graduate tax program for more than two decades.

Sidle is a 1982 University Fellow of Princeton University, a 1985 graduate of the University of Maryland Law School and an honors graduate (1981) of the Johns Hopkins University.

He has served as the board chair of the Handel Choir of Baltimore for four years, was a member of the board of Friends School of Baltimore for seven years (clerking its finance committee and serving on its executive committee for four years), and is currently a member of the National Advisory Board for the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.
