Juneteenth marks a significant historical event in 1865 when Union troops marched into Galveston, TX to proclaim the release of all remaining people held in slavery after the end of the Civil War. Juneteenth was first recognized as an official U.S. national holiday in 2021, but it has been celebrated in African American households and communities for generations.

CCBC cordially invites all to attend a festive outdoor Juneteenth gathering on quad at the CCBC Dundalk campus. This event features vendor tables, a silent auction fundraiser, free food, music, and themed expressions to celebrate freedom. Hosted by BLAC of the Community College of Baltimore County. Open to all CCBC campuses and community guests. For more information email the event contact.
