Knights soccer carrying momentum into regular-season finale

Since suffering a 5-0 shutout loss to Harcum College on Oct. 5, the CCBC Essex men’s soccer team has bounced back with two victories which sets up the ideal ending to the regular-season campaign.

A balanced offensive effort led to a 4-0 home win over Maryland JUCO conference opponent Frederick Community College on Oct. 12. Forward Angel Chavez recorded two assists and four players notched one goal apiece.

Caleb Marchany, Futaro Hosoi, Taichi Nogami and Cesar Rubio-Amaya scored in the shutout win that lifted the No. 7 Knights to 12-2 overall. Marchany’s and Rubio-Amaya’s goals came off Chavez assists in the first half.
