25 solo flight hours (R-22), 10 dual instruction flight hours (R-22), 15 dual instruction flight hours (R-44), 20 ground instruction hours, provides the initial phase of flight and simulator training towards the completion of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Pilot certificate, Helicopter category. Topics include advanced airport operations, precision hovering, commercial maneuvers, takeoffs and landings, cross-country flights, emergency procedures, and safety. A valid FAA Medical Certificate is required. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.

Prerequisite(s): AVMT 235 or approval of the Aviation Program Director. Corequisite(s): AVMT 236 or approval of the Aviation Program Director.
Lab Fee: $7,000.00.

Permission from the Aviation Department is required to register. This course has an additional lab fee, refer to the college catalog. This section meets during the 10 week session.
