Investigating the Living World (BIOL 108)

Is a course which provides a general overview of the basic principles of biology, an introduction to scientific thought, and methodology and necessary skills for science literacy. Topics include biochemistry, cell structure and function, genetics, evolution, biodiversity, and ecology. Students may receive General Education credit for only one of the following courses: BIOL 100, BIOL 108, BIOL 110. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.

Prerequisite(s): ACLT 053 or (ESOL 052 and ESOL 054); and MATH 081. Corequisite(s): ENGL 101.
Lab Fee: $40.00.
General Education: Biological and Physical Sciences (B).
