Strength and Conditioning for Athletes (FIT 131)

Continuing Education Course

Emphasize the development of maximal strength, power production, anaerobic capacity, muscular endurance, aerobic capacity, and muscular hypertrophy. Practical application activities involving safety protocols, proper lifting techniques, Olympic-style lifts, plyometrics, footwork drills, and testing procedures using free weights as well as weight-stack machines. Strength training and conditioning programs for specific sports are also included. This course is also offered for credit as KNLS119 and PELF119.
