Embalming Theory I (MORS 111)

Offers an intensive study of the basic fundamentals of the embalming process; covers the purpose of embalming, modes of death, signs of death, expert tests for death, postmortem physical and chemical changes, ethics of embalming, and laws of decomposition. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.

Prerequisite(s): MORS 106, BIOL 130, BIOL 245, and BIOL 252 with a "C" or better. A minimum of 45 hours is necessary to qualify for the National Board Examination. Students must take both MORS 111 and MORS 113 in the same semester.
