English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

The continuing education ESOL program at CCBC offers classes to help adult non-native speakers learn English for community and workplace settings. These courses teach the English language skills needed to succeed in work, school, and everyday life.
Students must have a computer, or a tablet, with a camera and microphone, or smartphone and unlimited internet access.
ESOL classes are offered on-campus in-person and online via Zoom.

All students must come to one of the “Walk-in ESOL Placement & Registration Locations” sessions to sign up for any ESOL Beginning and Intermediate classes. You are not registered until you receive a copy of your registration welcome packet at registration.
Class method varies depending on the student level. Complete class schedules will be given at registration. Zoom class: Enrolled students must attend on the last day of class to take a test at given CCBC Campus location.
- These classes are supported by grant funding from Maryland Department of Labor (LABOR). Students with an F-1 or J-1 Visa are not eligible for LABOR grant funded classes.
- Reasonable accommodations for a disability are available only upon request. Call 443.840.3428 to discuss availability of accommodations and testing procedures. Please call at least two weeks in advance.
