Ready to start a business, but not sure what to do first?This program will provide students with the information necessary to take the first steps. A small business owner or entrepreneur is responsible for the growth, overall direction, and everyday operation of a business. Specific activities will vary according to the business’s size and industry, but may include reviewing sales reports, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports; hiring, training, and managing staff; understanding federal, state, and local laws, marketing, and directing activities for sales or production staff. Upon completion of the four classes, the student will receive a Essential Skills for Entrepreneurs Continuing Education Certificate.
