CCBC’s Alcohol and Drug Counselor Trainee (ADT) program prepares you to begin a meaningful career in addiction counseling, combining foundational coursework with hands-on training to meet Maryland certification requirements.
Alcohol and Drug Counselor Trainees (ADT) provide counseling services for children and families who experience and/or have family members experiencing opioid or other substance use disorders. ADTs work in both outpatient and residential alcohol and drug treatment facilities in Maryland. This course series prepares students/apprentices to earn the Alcohol and Drug Counselor Trainee (ADT) status from the Maryland Department of Health.

The Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) use their lived experience of recover from mental health and substance use disorders to help others on their journey toward recovery. PRS help clients to access resources, develop recovery plans, and manage crises. PRS serve as an advocate and navigator for their client as he or she explores recovery.

The Cybersecurity Support Technician assists in developing security policies and protocols; assists in enforcing company compliance with network security policies and protocols. Installs, configures, tests, operates, maintains, and manages networks and their firewalls including hardware and software that permit sharing and transmission of information. Installs, configures, troubleshoots and maintains server configurations to ensure their confidentiality, integrity and availability; also manages accounts, firewalls, configuration, patch and vulnerability management.
