Anesthesia Technology

Student working in the anesthesia lab

CCBC and Johns Hopkins Health System have partnered to introduce an innovative anesthesia technology program, setting a new standard in the state and region.

The comprehensive anesthesia technology curriculum encompasses a wide array of courses, offering both clinical training and instructional expertise necessary to excel as an anesthesia technologist. Graduates of the program qualify for certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists, the organization overseeing competency standards for technologists and technicians in anesthesia.

Taught by seasoned instructors, many of whom are employed by the Johns Hopkins Health System as anesthesia technologists, nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologists, students gain invaluable real-world insights and guidance.

This program equips students with the essential skills to perform equipment maintenance and servicing, as well as support licensed anesthesia providers in patient assessments, intravenous line insertion and airway management.
