CT and MRI Certificates

Both the CT and MRI Certificate programs will be offered as hybrid courses.

For the CT program  

Expect 6 hours of coursework each week.  Additional time for studying and completing assignments is necessary.  

Classes for CT will be delivered using a combination of synchronous and asynchronous delivery methods.  Synchronous classes will be 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays using a communications platform that allows users to connect with video.  

The CT program is a 6-month program which runs twice a year—January through June and July through December. 

A minimum of 12 hours a week is required for clinical.

For the MRI program  

Expect 6 hours of coursework each week.  Additional time for studying and completing assignments is necessary.  

Classes for MRI will be delivered using a combination of face to face, synchronous and asynchronous delivery methods.  Synchronous and face to face classes will be 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays using a communications platform that allows users to connect with video.  Face to face classes will be held on the Essex Campus. 

The MRI program is a 9-month program which runs late August through May. 

A minimum of 16 hours a week is required for clinical.

Clinical is offered at several surrounding areas:
  • Baltimore City/Baltimore County
  • Anne Arundel County
  • Carroll County
  • Eastern Shore
  • Harford County
  • Howard County
  • Montgomery County
  • Prince George's County
These programs are currently available to applicants who are licensed, registered radiographers by the ARRT and the State of Maryland.
These programs are currently limited to Radiographers as outlined in the admission packet.
