Industry Certification, Licensure, and Apprenticeship
You may already have the knowledge required for college credit.At CCBC, we realize that many students arrive to us already having gained college level learning in a subject area and mastered the content of certain courses. CCBC Credit by Industry Certification or Apprenticeship are articulated credit awarded for CCBC accepted business, industry, and government agencies that have been evaluated and recommended for college credit.
Often these are State or federally registered programs awarding State or Federal Certification within an industry or field. Faculty Evaluators have reviewed these industry recognized certifications and licensure to identify recommended college credits.
Get started with Credit by Articulated Prior Learning:
- Check if the credential you have is listed below in the approved lists
- Consult with the Coordinator of Articulation, Transfer, and Prior Learning and Assessment.
- Meet with the appropriate Subject Matter Faculty Expert (SMFE) to present the Certification, Licensures, or Apprenticeship paperwork.
- Fill out the appropriate paperwork with the SMFE and take it to the Registration Office.
