About UBalt

From its beginnings, the University of Baltimore has granted educational access to a remarkably wide range of students: working adults, first-generation college goers, career-changers and those who require the flexibility not found in traditional college settings.

UBalt is a public undergraduate, graduate and professional university, located in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland (just across the street from Penn Station), proudly embracing the diversity critical to its role as an urban anchor institution.

UBalt has over 70 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs and certificates that are aligned with high-demand careers. Classes are delivered in flexible formats—day, evening, weekend, online—to fit your life and your schedule.

General transfer information

UBalt grants credit by exam through the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advance Placement (AP).

In addition to being eligible to apply for financial aid and scholarships, transfer students are also eligible for The Bob Parson’s Scholarship Fund, a transfer student scholarship program designed to help you complete your bachelor's degree for free!

Degrees to Succeed

Complete your associate degree at CCBC and transfer your credits seamlessly to earn your bachelor’s degree at UBalt, thanks to the Degrees to Succeed program.

Degrees to Succeed

  • Dual admission to CCBC and UBalt.
  • Acceptance of all transfer credits for Associate of Arts (A.A.) and Associate of Science (A.S.) degree programs.
  • Acceptance of up to 45 credits in transfer through CCBC’s documented prior learning and high school articulation agreement, as applied to an associate degree. Learn more about Prior Learning at UBalt.
  • Junior standing upon transfer with priority registration. 
  • Access to institutional, academic and student support services at UBalt.
  • Co-advising by UBalt to ensure CCBC courses align with your chosen program.
  • Dedicated CCBC transfer grants and scholarships, such as the Parsons and Rose scholarships, that  reduce/discount the net tuition charges.
  • Waiver of the UBalt application fee.
  • Earned at least three and no more than 45 college credits (this includes college credits completed outside of CCBC).
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater for credits completed at CCBC.
  1. Discuss this program with your academic advisor to verify your eligibility to participate.
  2. Submit the acknowledgement form, which outlines the student checklist, program requirements and permission to share your academic information with UBalt.
  3. CCBC will submit the completed acknowledgement form to UBalt.
  4. UBalt will contact you regarding the next steps to enroll in the program.

Honors Program

Graduates of the CCBC Honors College are guaranteed admission to UBalt and its Helen P. Denit Honors Program.

CCBC degree UBalt benefit GPA requirement
Any associate degree or a minimum of 45 college credits. Students will only need to complete 12 (instead of 15) honors-level credits at UBalt to meet the curricular requirements of the Denit Program. GPA of a 3.5 or better at the time of the application to UBalt.
