Changing lives through community partnerships

The dental hygiene program is designed to prepare the graduate to successfully enter the dental profession in any one of the designated roles of the dental hygienist as defined by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and be employed in a variety of settings.

During the second-year as part of the required clinical coursework, Students work under the direction of a licensed dentist to provide free to low preventive dental services for the community with an emphasis on the needs of under-served populations.
