Skilled-Trades Apprenticeships

Earn and learn.

Jumpstart your career with a registered trade apprenticeship.

Our skilled-trades apprenticeship programs combine paid, full-time day work with classroom instruction. While training with a sponsoring employer, you will also earn college credits. Both union and non-union programs are available. For many, there are opportunities to receive the classroom related instruction tuition and fees at no charge, but you may incur some costs for tools, books and materials.

As an apprentice you start with a structured pay scale and receive wage increases as you become more knowledgeable and skilled. Programs typically take three to five years to complete and lead to a Journeyperson certificate.

Requirements will vary by trade and apprenticeship, but typically include:

  • be at least 18 years of age,
  • possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency,
  • hold a valid driver license,
  • have reliable transportation to the jobsite and classroom and,
  • be physically able to perform the essential duties of the trade.

To get started, contact the sponsoring partner for the apprenticeship you’re interested in. Review our full list of apprenticeships below for their contact info and/or application process.

Once you’ve completed the sponsoring partner’s application, they will guide you through the next steps to get started with your first CCBC class.
