Indigenous Peoples Day: Film Screening and Panel Discussion

Join us for a screening of part of La Lucha Sigue (The Struggle Continues) and panel discussion with a Garifuna community leader, filmmaker Melissa Cox, and CCBC history professor Ingrid Sabio. In Honduras, Lenca and Garífuna people defend their rights and cultures despite assassinations, destruction of their land, and attempts to erase their existence. Light refreshments to follow.
