Women’s hoops open postseason with dominant win

The CCBC Essex women’s basketball team began their quest to a national championship with a 119-55 rout of cross-county rival CCBC Catonsville on Tuesday night.

Eight players scored in double figures — five of whom came off the bench — as the Knights posted one of their most offensively balanced performances of the season. They shot better than 47 percent from the field and just over 35 percent from 3-point territory.
