Creative Partnerships (HIT 865)

Continuing Education Course

Join art historian Joseph Cassar on Zoom as he focuses on artists working together and how their creativity developed while maintaining their individuality. The partnerships that will be studied cover the married couple Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, the short brotherhood between Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin while staying in the yellow house in Arles, Henri Matisse and Andre Derain during the short-lived colorful period of the Fauves, and the creative partnership between Futurists artists Giacomo Balla and Umberto Boccioni in Italy in 1910. Rich images presented on PowerPoint will invite questions and discussion.
