Continuing Education Course

Art historian Joseph Cassar presents a Zoom course on one of the most important living artists of our time. The course addresses his humble beginning and how he slowly rose to fame with his swimming pool paintings. His more recent achievements in reviving landscape painting will be put against the backdrop of his Royal Academy grand exhibition where he produced gigantic paintings made of several small canvases put together side-by-side. The course will show drawings as well as his use of photography and other technological developments like art on an iPad. Art works will be studied in detail. The course is in the form of a PowerPoint presentation rich in images that invite questions and discussion.
