Jay Zumbrun, '72

He was nominated by Dr. Dennis Seymour, Dean of the CCBC School of Justice, for his many achievements since his graduation from Catonsville’s Police Administration Program in 1972. After receiving his A.A. degree, and graduating from the University of Baltimore with his B.S. and M.S., he also did post-graduate studies at UMBC, before joining the Howard County Police Department in 1977. 

From 1981 until September 2001, Jay worked as an adjunct for CCBC in the Criminal Justice Program while working full time for the Police Department. He was hired in 2004 by CCBC to join the Criminal Justice staff and has received noteworthy promotions and awards including the Exemplary Employees Award, School of Justice in 2010. Jay volunteers for many college committees including Middle States Accreditation Standard Committee, Curriculum and Instruction Committee, many search committees, and various Criminal Justice committees.
