CCBC's Fresh Faces make up the heart and soul of our community, demonstrating both school spirit and academic excellence. We're looking for students of all ages, colors, shapes, sizes and backgrounds who are passionate about CCBC and want to share their story.

Becoming a Fresh Face

You deserve a moment in the spotlight and your story deserves to be heard. Becoming a Fresh Faces provides the opportunity to do both! You'll participate in a professional shoot and share the experiences that make your CCBC story unique.

Apply to become a Fresh Face and shape how future students see themselves at CCBC by sharing your story. From time spent with peers between classes to moments that challenged and inspired you, your experiences can encourage others to imagine CCBC as the setting for a story of their own.

What to expect

If you meet all of the eligibility requirements below and would like to apply, you must:

Complete an online questionnaire about your qualifications and CCBC experiences.
From this questionnaire, you will be directed to record a brief video audition.

If you are among the students selected, you will receive an email from Marketing and Communications with further instructions, so check your email!

For your application to be considered, both current students and Alumni must meet certain eligibility requirements:

Allow CCBC to use your likeness (photo/video) for the purposes of promoting the college.
You must be available on October 16, 2026 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., on the Essex campus. No exceptions.
You will also need to participate in a second photoshoot for 2-3 hours where we will capture your individual headshots. This will be scheduled at a later date, based on your availability.

There are a few additional requirements for current students:

Be enrolled in a certificate, degree or workforce training program at CCBC with either a 2.5 GPA or in good academic standing.
Have already completed one full semester at CCBC.
Be in good financial standing with CCBC.

Now that you're prepped and ready, it's time to submit an application to join the 2026-27 Fresh Faces cohort:

This application will take around 10-15 minutes to complete.
You will be asked to answer questions about your eligibility and background, along with why you are interested in becoming a Fresh Face of CCBC.
You must submit your application by September 20, 2026.
Once you complete the online questionnaire, you will be directed to complete the video audition portion of the submission.

Get started

In the video portion of your submission, you will be asked to answer two questions:

What do you think is unique about your CCBC experience? (For example, groups you’ve joined, assistance you’ve received, opportunities you’ve been presented with.)
What do you hope others will learn or take away from hearing about your CCBC experience?

You will be given up to one minute and thirty seconds per question to provide an answer.

Practice your video audition ahead of time

The application is set up to be completed in one sitting, so here are a few helpful tips to make the process as smooth as possible.

Choose a quiet location. Make sure to record your video audition in a distraction-free zone.
Check your equipment. Please use a device with a reliable microphone and camera.
Utilize good lighting. We want to see you! Please ensure that the recording space is well-lit and try to avoid harsh shadows.
Frame your shot. To ensure your face and upper body are visible, position the camera around eye-level.
